PCS Update #1!

Hi All!
Im writing from Dallas, TX which is our half way stop on our PCS to Virginia!  My husband and parents left early this morning from San Diego with the U-Haul and cars and my daughter and I flew out last night.  It was my first time flying with her and it was quite the adventure.  The flight went off without a hitch but trying to change a poopy diaper in an airplane bathroom is a trick!  I opted to fly with her in my Ergo carrier rather than her car seat.

She was happy to sit and look around and eventually fell asleep about half way through the flight.  We fly out Saturday morning to Charlotte, NC where we will catch our connecting flight to Roanoke, VA.

After living in a sea of boxes for a few weeks, we were relieved to finally get the truck packed and get on our way.  My husband said the drive was fairly uneventful.  The dogs rode with him and my mom in our minivan while the cats rode with my dad (in their travel carriers) in the U-Haul.  They made a stop every few hours for bathroom breaks and let the dogs stretch their legs.

They drove from San Diego to Las Cruses, NM the first day and stopped at the Drury Inn & Suites which was a good price and had a great pet policy.  They then drove the next day from there to Dallas and got there about 9pm Sunday night.

We are doing "Christmas" with our families this week then on to Lynchburg!
More updates to come!
